A lot of talk in the industry about how @Microsoft launched the #ChatGPT even though it is not ready and gives false answers. Or how Microsoft’s “GPT Bing” demo was full of errors and was not called out, but @Google was for just one error in their demo.
It’s just a bump in the road. GPT Bing isn’t perfect, and @Google’s Bard may well better from what I hear, but it isn’t perfect either.
Users won’t care. Even at only 70% of where AI chat systems should be, they will be awed and delighted by this step change in what search can now deliver. They will adopt the AI chat feature and not look back.
What remains business-wise: Microsoft can afford to cannibalize its own search traffic – and Google cannot.
