Facebook just can’t get a break. The European Union fined it $400M for assuming users’ consent to collect their personal data by placing a provision to that effect in the terms of service.
It makes you wonder why FB would have tried this in the first place when #GDPR is quite clear that publishers must get users’ explicit consent.
This will make targeting, ad effectiveness and measurement worse on FB in Europe.
